Born in 1988, Isobel Joy Te Aho-White is a freelance graphic artist and illustrator living in Wellington, New Zealand. She holds both a Bachelor of Computer Graphic Design from the Whanganui School of Design, and a Bachelor of Design (Honors) in Visual Communication Design from Massey University.
Her influences include mythlogy and folktales, botanical illustrations/naturalism, paganism and the occult, and her experiences living life as an autistic queer, tangata whenua (indigenous person of Aotearoa). Isobel enjoys working in a variety of mediums which include both digital and traditional paintings, murals, graphic design and illustration. She specialises in symbolism and metaphor, and encourages individual interpretation of her work.
In 2011, Isobel was awarded a Whanganui School of Design Scholarship. She belongs to the Ngāti Kahungunu and Ngai Tahu tribes of Aotearoa, New Zealand.
